SLOVENSKO
Andrej Kos je akordeonist, dejaven v klasični, džezovski in popularni glasbi. Leta 2021 je iz klasične glasbe, smer inštrument, z odliko magistriral na Univerzi za glasbo in upodabljajočo umetnost Graz v razredu Univ. Prof. MuM Janne Rättyä. Med študijem se je pod mentorstvom Elisabeth Harnik izobraževal v improvizaciji v sodobni glasbi, s Christianom Bakanicem pa v jazzovski glasbi. Izpopolnjuje se na različnih seminarjih in mojstrskih tečajih s področja klasike (Mie Miki, Matti Rantanen, Frode Haltli, Inaki Alberdi, Luka Juhart, Owen Murray) in jazza ter popularne glasbe (Simone Zanchini, Marko Črnčec, Jure Pukl, Andy Middleton).
V klasični glasbi je trenutno aktiven zlasti v Ansamblu za sodobno glasbo .abeceda in v duo z violončelistom Sebastianom Bertonceljem ter klarinetistom Filipom Brezovškom. Poleg tega deluje v raznolikih projektih: Quattro Grammo (klezmer) in Jeannette (rock&roll).
Igral je s priznanimi glasbeniki, denimo Nickom Mancinijem, Taro Venditti, Eddiejem Luisom in mnogimi drugimi, orkestrske izkušnje pa je nabiral v ansamblu za sodobno glasbo »KUG Ensemble für Neue Musik«, v »PPCM Ensemble« in v projektu »Filmorchester«. Sodeluje z mednarodnimi komponisti iz Slovenije, Avstrije, Španije in Portugalske, Kitajske, Koreje, ZDA in drugih držav.
Nastopil je na uglednih prizoriščih, od Cankarjevega doma in Kazinske dvorane SNG Maribor do Schauspielhausa Graz. Poleg tega je doslej sodeloval tudi na različnih festivalih, denimo Glasbena mladina Ljubljanska, All That Jazz, Festivalu Lent, Festival Ofak, Floating Castle in drugih.
Nominiranec za Würdigungspreis mesta Graz za njegove umetniške dosežke, je za svoje delo je prejel številne nagrade: Platinasta nagrada na mednarodnem tekmovanju World classical Music v kategoriji baročna glasba, prvo mesto na mednarodnem glasbenem tekmovanju solistov ter komornih skupin Svirél-Nova Gorica (SVN), prvo nagrado na internacionalnem festivalu harmonike MehFest - Beograd (SRB), prvo nagrado na mednarodnem srečanju harmonikarjev PannoniAccordion - Murska Sobota (SVN) in druge. V kantavtorskem duu je prejel vrsto nagrad za kantavtorsko glasbo, od prvih mest na natečajih Freešn, Hit betona, Glasbeni maraton Stična do drugega mesta na mednarodnem kantavtorskem festivalu TaktFest (SRB). O njegovih nastopih in projektih so poročali različni mediji (Delo, Kleine Zeitung, Celjan, Štajerski tednik, Lavantaller, Radio ARS, Radio Prvi, Radio Maribor, TV Celje, Štajerski val, Radio Prlek).
Ob koncertiranju se posveča pedagoškemu delu. Zaposlen je na Konservatoriju za glasbo in balet Maribor in na Glasbeni šoli Ormož, v preteklosti pa je poučeval tudi na I. gimnaziji (umetniška gimnazija) v Celju, B.A.S.E. Celje in Musikschule Rauter Graz. Je tudi član komisije mednarodnega tekmovanja CELEIA 2022.

Andrej Kos is an accordionist active in classical, jazz and popular music. In 2021, he received his master's degree in classical accordion with honors from the University of Music and Visual Arts Graz in the class of Univ. Prof. MuM Janne Rättyä. During his studies, he studied improvisation in contemporary music under the mentorship of Elisabeth Harnik, and in jazz music with Christian Bakanic. He improves his skills at various seminars and master classes in the field of classics (Mie Miki, Matti Rantanen, Frode Haltli, Inaki Alberdi, Luka Juhart, Owen Murray) and jazz and popular music (Simone Zanchini, Marko Črnčec, Jure Pukl, Andy Middleton).
He is currently active in classical music, especially in the Ensemble for Contemporary Music .abeceda and in a duo with cellist Sebastian Bertoncelj and clarinetist Filip Brezovšek. In addition, he works in various projects: Quattro Grammo (klezmer) and Jeannette (rock&roll). He played with renowned musicians such as Nick Mancini, Tara Venditta, Eddie Luis and many others, and he gained orchestral experience in the contemporary music ensemble "KUG Ensemble für Neue Musik", in the "PPCM Ensemble" and in the "Filmorchester" project. He collaborates with international composers from Slovenia, Austria, Spain and Portugal, China, Korea, the USA and other countries. He performed at prominent venues, from Cankarjev dom and Kazinska dvorana SNG Maribor to Schauspielhaus Graz. In addition, he has so far also participated in various festivals, such as Glasbena mladina Ljubljanska, All That Jazz, Festival Lent, Festival Ofak, Floating Castle and others.
Nominated for the Würdigungspreis of the city of Graz for his artistic achievements, he received many awards for his work: Platinum price at the World Music Competition in the baroque music category, first place at the international music competition for soloists and chamber groups Svirél-Nova Gorica (SVN), first prize at the international accordion festival MehFest - Belgrade (SRB), first prize at the PannoniAccordion - Murska Sobota (SVN) international meeting of accordion players and others. In a chanson Duo, he received a number of awards for singer-songwriter music, from first place at the Freešn, Hit betona, Stična Music Marathon to second place at the international singer-songwriter festival TaktFest (SRB). Various media reported on his performances and projects (Delo, Kleine Zeitung, Celjan, Štajerski tednik, Lavantaller, Radio ARS, Radio Prvi, Radio Maribor, TV Celje, Štajerski val, Radio Prlek).
In addition to giving concerts, he devotes himself to teaching. He is employed at Convervatory for Music and Balett Maribor and at the Ormož Music School, and in the past he also taught at the 1st high school (art high school) in Celje, B.A.S.E. Celje and Musikschule Rauter Graz. He is also a member of the commission of the international competition CELEIA 2022.

Andrej Kos ist ein Akkordeonist, der in Klassik, Jazz und populärer Musik tätig ist. 2021 absolvierte er sein Masterabschluss aus klassischem Akkordeon mit Auszeichnung von der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz in der Klasse von Univ. Prof. MuM Janne Rättyä. Während seines Studiums studierte er Improvisation in zeitgenössischer Musik bei Elisabeth Harnik und Jazzmusik bei Christian Bakanic. Seine Fähigkeiten vertieft er in verschiedenen Seminaren und Meisterkursen im Bereich Klassik (Mie Miki, Matti Rantanen, Frode Haltli, Inaki Alberdi, Luka Juhart) sowie Jazz und Popularmusik (Simone Zanchini, Marko Črnčec, Jure Pukl, Andy Middleton). Derzeit ist er in der klassischen Musik aktiv, insbesondere im Ensemble für zeitgenössische Musik .abeceda und im Duo mit dem Cellisten Sebastian Bertoncelj und Klarinettisten Filip Brezovšek. Darüber hinaus arbeitet er in verschiedenen Projekten: Quattro Grammo und Jeannette (Rock’n’Roll). Er spielte mit namhaften Musikern wie Nick Mancini, Tara Venditta, Eddie Luis und vielen anderen und sammelte Orchestererfahrung im zeitgenössischen Musikensemble „KUG Ensemble für Neue Musik“, im „PPCM Ensemble“ und im Projekt „Filmorchester“. . Im Chanson Duo erhielt er zahlreiche Auszeichnungen für Singer-Songwriter-Musik, vom ersten Platz beim Freešn, Hit betona, Stična Music Marathon bis zum zweiten Platz beim internationalen Singer-Songwriter-Festival TaktFest (SRB). Neben der Konzerttätigkeit widmet er sich der Lehre. Er ist am Konservatorium für Musik und Balett Maribor und an der Musikschule Ormož beschäftigt, in der Vergangenheit unterrichtete er auch am 1. Gymnasium (Kunstgymnasium) in Celje, B.A.S.E. Celje und Musikschule Rauter Graz. Er ist auch Mitglied der Kommission des internationalen Wettbewerbs CELEIA 2022.
